我曾经是一个严重的偏科生，做出来的数学题目看似深奥实则乱写一通。直到我稀里糊涂的来到初一，遇到了她，我现在的班主任，一切都改变了。
老师的鼓励

进入初中，我遇见了许许多多的新老师，他们性格迥异，各有特色。我们的班主任李老师，性格直率，直来直去，爱憎分明。语文老师则善解人意，和蔼可亲，妙语连珠。而我眼中最喜爱的，是我们的数学老师——张老师。
张老师身高大约一米七五，身材魁梧，“国”字脸，方方正正，黝黑的脸像包公，一身正气。生起气来，脸涨得通红就像没有胡子的关公一样。
令我最难忘的则是张老师上的课，他从不拘泥于课本的内容，难题、课外题、思维拓展训练等穿插其中。课上的内容详实丰富，生动有趣，我们听得有滋有味。记得有一次张老师讲行程问题，因为比较抽象，有的同学还不明白，老师就用线段图示意的方法一点一点的耐心地讲解，讲得具体、形象、生动，可谓是滴水不漏，可依然有些同学不理解，于是张老师使出了“杀手锏”，从公文包里掏出了两个小火车头，哇！老师想得真周全，看来是做了充分的准备。经过老师的演示和耐心的讲解，大家终于彻底弄懂了。张老师也欣慰地笑了。
张老师不仅关心我们的学习，对我们的思想教育业不放松。他虽然不是我们的班主任，但也可以算是我们的第二个班主任。为什么这么说呢？在月考之后，我们班原来是一袋聚拢的沙子，突然一松懈，成了一盘散沙，上课时松松垮垮的，下课时吵吵闹闹。张老师专门抽出时间对我们进行思想教育，语重心长地对我们说：“要努力！学习持续奋斗的过程，是决不能松懈的。”看着老师因生气而涨得通红的“关公脸”，心里有说不出的羞愧。此外张老师他十分敬业，即使他妻子生病住院开刀，为了我们大家也没请过一天的假。这是一个多么好的老师啊！
